Introduction: The Samsung Installation Experience
Samsung is the world's largest Android phone brand and has a large user base domestically. Compared to other domestic Android brands, installing the Binance APP on a Samsung phone is actually a smoother experience — mainly because Samsung's One UI system has relatively fewer restrictions on third-party APK installation.
Today I tested the full Binance APP installation process on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and a Galaxy A55, and am sharing the detailed steps and usage experience.
1. Why Samsung Phones Have an Installation Advantage
There are a few reasons why installing the Binance APP on a Samsung is relatively straightforward:
- Google Play support: Samsung phones sold domestically can also install Google services
- Fewer One UI restrictions: No strict "Pure Mode" like domestic Chinese brands
- Samsung Knox security: Provides more flexible security settings
- Galaxy Store as a backup option: Galaxy Store occasionally lists trading apps
2. Method 1: Install via APK (Recommended)
2.1 Download the APK
- Open Samsung's built-in browser (Samsung Internet) or Chrome
- Visit the Binance official website
- Go to the download page
- Select the "Android" version to download
- The download progress will show at the bottom of the browser
2.2 Set Installation Permissions
- Go to "Settings" → "Biometrics and Security" → "Install Unknown Apps"
- Find your browser (Samsung Internet or Chrome)
- Enable "Allow from this source"
2.3 Install the APK
- After the download completes, tap the download completion notification in the browser
- Or open "My Files" → "Downloads" to find the APK
- Tap the APK file
- The system shows an install confirmation screen — tap "Install"
- Wait for installation to complete
Real-world experience: On the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the whole process from download to installation completion took only about 3 minutes. The One UI installation flow is clean and straightforward, with no excessive blocking pop-ups.
2.4 Handling Security Warnings
One UI may display a Play Protect security warning:
- Prompt: "This app has not been verified by Play Protect"
- This is because the APK was not downloaded from Google Play
- Tap "Install Anyway" to proceed
3. Method 2: Install via Google Play
For Samsung phones with Google services already installed:
- Open the Google Play Store
- Search for "Binance"
- Find the official app (developer: Binance Inc.)
- Tap "Install"
If your Samsung phone does not have Google Play, you can install the Google services framework first. Installing Google services on a Samsung is relatively straightforward and usually requires no additional tools.
4. Samsung-Exclusive Feature Experience
4.1 Samsung DeX Mode
This is one of Samsung's standout features. Samsung DeX lets you connect your phone to a monitor and run apps in desktop mode:
- Connect your phone to a monitor using a USB-C cable
- Or wirelessly screen-mirror via Wi-Fi
- Once in DeX mode, the Binance APP displays as a window
- You can resize the window
- Pair it with a keyboard and mouse for an experience close to a desktop client
Real-world evaluation: The Binance APP in DeX mode works very well. Viewing candlestick charts on a large screen is comfortable, and the window can be freely resized. Multitasking is also smooth. This may be Samsung users' exclusive "phone becomes computer" experience.
4.2 Edge Panel
The curved edge display on Galaxy S series phones includes an Edge Panel feature:
- Add the Binance APP to the Edge Panel
- Swipe from the screen edge at any time to quickly open it
- You can also add split-screen shortcuts
4.3 Split-Screen Multitasking
Samsung's split-screen feature is among the best in the Android ecosystem:
- Open the recent apps interface
- Long-press the Binance APP icon
- Select "Open in split screen view"
- Display market data on the top half and browse news on the bottom half
4.4 Samsung Knox Security
Knox is Samsung's enterprise-grade security platform and can provide additional protection for the Binance APP:
- Secure Folder: You can put the Binance APP inside the Secure Folder, which requires separate authentication to open
- Device encryption: Samsung phones have device encryption enabled by default
- Secure Wi-Fi: Samsung's secure Wi-Fi protects data on public networks
4.5 Bixby Integration
While not a core feature, you can set up Bixby shortcuts:
- "Open Binance" to quickly launch the app
- Create calendar reminders to check market data at set times
5. Test Results by Model
| Model | OS | Result | Smoothness | DeX Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S24 Ultra | One UI 6.1 | Success | Excellent | Yes |
| Galaxy S23 | One UI 6.0 | Success | Excellent | Yes |
| Galaxy Z Fold5 | One UI 5.1 | Success | Excellent | Yes |
| Galaxy A55 | One UI 6.1 | Success | Good | No |
| Galaxy A15 | One UI 6.0 | Success | Average | No |
Flagship models deliver predictably excellent performance. Mid-range models also run smoothly. Entry-level models may experience slight lag when loading complex candlestick charts, but it does not affect everyday use.
Galaxy Z Fold5 Foldable Screen Special Experience
The foldable screen phone has unique advantages for the Binance APP:
- Outer screen quick check: Quickly view market data while the phone is folded
- Inner screen deep analysis: The 7.6-inch large screen when unfolded is ideal for analysis and trading
- Flex mode: In half-folded mode, the top half shows the candlestick chart and the bottom half shows the trading panel
In testing, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is the best mobile trading terminal I have used for the Binance APP. The large screen experience approaches a tablet while maintaining the phone's portability.
6. Background Optimization Settings
6.1 Battery Optimization
- "Settings" → "Battery and Device Care" → "Battery"
- Find the Binance APP
- Select "Unrestricted"
6.2 Auto-Start Permissions
- "Settings" → "Apps" → "Binance"
- "Battery" → Select "Unrestricted"
- "Notifications" → Enable all notification types
6.3 Always On Display
Samsung's AOD (Always On Display) feature works great alongside notifications:
- Once AOD is enabled, Binance's price alerts will show on the lock screen
- You can see important notifications without unlocking your phone
7. FAQ
Q: Can Samsung phones sold domestically use Google Play directly?
A: Domestic Samsung phones need to install the Google services framework first. You can search for Google-related services in Samsung's Galaxy Store, or install them via APK.
Q: Installation shows "Blocked by Play Protect"?
A: Open Google Play → Tap your profile icon → Play Protect → Settings → Temporarily disable "Scan apps with Play Protect." Re-enable it after installation is complete.
Q: Will Samsung's Secure Folder affect the Binance APP?
A: No. The Secure Folder is an independent encrypted space. You can install the Binance APP in the regular space or inside the Secure Folder. Installing it inside the Secure Folder provides extra privacy protection.
Summary
Installing the Binance APP on a Samsung phone is one of the smoothest experiences among all Android brands. Thanks to One UI's relatively open policies and Google services support, the installation process is nearly obstacle-free. Add in Samsung-exclusive features like DeX mode and Secure Folder, and Samsung users can enjoy an outstanding trading experience. The Galaxy Z Fold foldable series in particular is highly recommended — once you have experienced trading on that large screen, it is hard to go back.
